The theatre program at Village Academy pursues achievement and recognition in many avenues, from drama and musical theatre to improv and stagecraft. Students are given the opportunity to explore their talents not only in school-wide productions, but also through state, regional, national, and international competition. Each class has built into its syllabus a production or presentation of its own to highlight the work done over the duration of the course.

The above-mentioned class productions are in addition to the two winter productions and two spring productions presented by the middle and upper school. Recent productions include: Lockers, The Bad Seed, A Mid Summer Night's Dream, Murder in Green Meadows, Rumors, Oliver, and The Crucible.

Village Academy’s Theatre program is designed to expose students to all facets of theatre. Incorporating guest instructors from professional theatre companies, and attending local college and professional productions, augment a superior educational experience.
