Middle School Academics

The Middle School Program promotes excellence in academics, self-esteem, life skills, citizenship, and global awareness in all students through a caring, safe, flexible, exploratory and student-centered learning environment. The unique educational needs of emerging adolescents are recognized through the collaborative efforts of parents, faculty, and administration.

Village Academy recognizes the need for rigorous academics as well as the development of analytical and critical thinking skills needed for future success. The structured yet flexible program offers opportunities for the students to become self-directed, self-motivated, and self-confident, and to be able to work collaboratively with others. The academic core subjects of the program are: English, math, social studies, science, foreign language, fine arts, performing arts, physical education, and computer technology. Many co-curricular activities are offered at the end of each school day that augment the academic program.
